At Nestlé breakfast cereals, we are making a firm commitment to improving the nutrition of our cereals. This is our on-going effort to make a nutritious breakfast easier for you.
This is why, by the end of 2015, Nestlé branded breakfast cereals loved by kids and teens will:
- Contain 9g total sugars or less per serving*
- Contain135mg sodium or less per serving
- Be made with more Whole Grain than any other ingredient
- Be a source of calcium per serving (15% of RDA** per serving)
As a result of this commitment, Nestlé breakfast cereals are reducing sugar content by up to 30% in brands such as KOKO KRUNCH, HONEY STARS, MILO and COOKIE CRISP as well as over 15 other Nestlé branded breakfast cereals all around the world***. Our recipe renovations also mean reductions in salt, increases in Whole Grain, and improvements in calcium on a brand-by-brand basis.
The renovation begins in Europe in 2013, and will roll out to other regions by the end of 2015.
*A serving size is defined as 30g by the European Breakfast Cereal Association
** Recommended Daily Amount (applies in countries where our products are fortified)
